Haven House COVID-19
We understand that much news regarding COVID-19 continues to swirl and that anxieties are high as information evolves. We want you to know that Haven House remains operational, and will continue to provide treatment as we implement significant adjustments to account for the continued safety of our staff and clients alike. To the best of our knowledge, there are currently no cases of Coronavirus within Haven House. Please note the following steps we are taking to reduce any potential contamination and keep Haven House operational.
Effective immediately, Residential Treatment Center (RTC) will be changing to an online format for all AA/recovery Meetings.
In addition to our clients, only staff members will be allowed on the premises. Meaning no non-staff member will be allowed on the premises (this includes family and friends of our clients) for the foreseeable future. Clients may have FaceTime visits, provided they are cleared to do so by their therapists.
We continue to follow recommendations provided by the CDC (Center for Disease Control), the World Health Organization (WHO) and our local regulatory and health authorities to ensure we have the most current information to guide our procedures and policies. The CDC provides the following information regarding prevention and tips for managing stress and anxiety surrounding COVID-19:
Cover mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, and dispose of any item used to cover your face immediately.
Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
Stay at home when you are sick with respiratory disease symptoms.
We are vigilantly monitoring for symptoms of patients and staff.
Enhanced Sanitizing Procedures
All employees and clients are required to follow the CDC guidelines regarding hand washing and it must be done frequently and thoroughly.
We have increased the frequency of the required cleaning and sanitization of our facility, including but not limited, to regularly disinfecting all counters, common areas and any space that endures high traffic (i.e. light switches, doorknobs, tabletops, chairs and chair arms…etc.).
As an extra precaution we have made hand sanitizer readily available for anyone on the premises to use.
These additional preparations and precautions are being put in place to do our part to decrease the spread of the virus within our community and the larger community as part of our communal responsibility. We continue to do our best to provide the excellent treatment programs you have come to expect from Haven House while we keep on top of this ever-changing situation. We appreciate your trust and cooperation as we collectively support each other during this trying time.
We remain open and able to provide detox and treatment services for those struggling with addiction.
